- i watched the phantom of the opera yesterday!!! finally. it rawks. i really like it, but the acoustics are lousy. whenever they hit high notes - not just the girls, even - there'll be irritating reports. maybe it's just lido, or what. then their costumes are marvellous. jo was in awe of their costume designers. haha. but i think only raoul's and carlotta's voice can measure up. carlotta is played by a superb actress! i mean, she really acts like a primadonna and a spoilt brat. but raoul looks a bit sissified. and the mask! oh, the mask. so horrible. he's supposed to wear a white domino, not that awful contraption. and since they're gonna cover half his face ANYWAY, get a better singer! -grouses- and christine wasn't too bad... only the high high notes like not so good. but actresses who can sing are rare, i guess. -shrugs- the set designer is top rate too, i have to say. the sets are super elaborate la! veryvery nice. esp the dungeons. and the opening scene, where the theatre literally comes to life. i might have incurred the wrath of jo though. i was mumbling away throughout the play :p but twas nice.
and i like the presents nic n jo gave me!!! u two are so sweet. haha. thanks a lot!
going out...to study with my papa. then meeting my mama for dinner. haha.
