Ugh you have too many blogs when you try and choose one to type in and go ***** can't remember which one's the public one T-T

Owell, it's been a month (A WHOLE MONTH?! LIKE, THIRTY DAYS!!) since school started. Soooo fast. And it seems like it's been forever at the same time. We do some pretty stupid things in school :p

Like MNO tutorial on Friday. Having bagged the very last tutorial, (there are 38 tutorials, guess how many people take this module) Van and I were a bit apprehensive about the "egg experiment" our admittedly funky tutor had told us about. We had twenty minutes for about 12 people to construct a structure to drop an egg into, from masking tape and straws. It's interesting to see how people react.

    "Har, who from engine here?"
"No one leh, want me to call my engine friends?"
"Eh, then got who from design ah?"
    "****, the egg so smelly!"

Yeah, really. Heh owell after we conquered all these barriers and got down to work the other team was already knuckling down the stupid structure. Haiz. We argued whether it should be flat on the ground or more trampoline like. We bickered over whether using newspaper as a base was tantamount to breaking rules or just bending them to our purpose. We will probably never agree on whether obtaining (for lack of a more unprejudiced word) straws from the canteen was legitimate, even if the guys had taken them with the drinks stall aunties' consent (read as seduced them into oblivion and ran away with the straws, which is what some of the girls maintain -wink-)

To cut the construction story short, we finished and ran out of class to test our product as any creator would. On this scoreboard outside the classroom our tutor had put in columns Tutorial Group, Number of Attempts, Number of SUCCESSFUL Attempts and Height From Which Egg Was Dropped. Most were from 8ft, some from one storey. The attempts to throw the egg down from two stories were documented with yellow-painted drains. (The drain was right below where you throw the egg down from.)

Four eggs met their untimely demise with the other eggs in the drain. Four eggs splattered before our eyes, completely missing our painstakingly constructed structures, preferring instead to liase directly with the fungi-infested drains.

Standing on the first, 2nd and third floors, the girls cooed, cheered, screamed, and mostly laughed at the boys' attempts to aim ("Fire in the hole!" "All clear!")

FINALLY the last egg (we all thought it MUST be hard boiled!) caught in the structure and survived. A moment of stunned silence ensued - proof of our disbelief - before we all cheered like crazy for the egg that had cheated death.

"Up to the fifth storey! Go go go!" Our tutor was madly waving his hands and harrassing the poor boys on the first level with the egg. Up ran some valiant soul to the fifth storey and they rearranged themselves ("Your turn to throw. I don't want to throw anymore.") And all the girls waited with baited breath and ready cameras to document this never-seen-before heroic venture to see if our egg survived a fall of...some 25 feet? Probably more.

You all know what they say about time slowing down and trajectories becoming fuzzy and what not. Well no chance this egg flew straight into the waiting arms of our structure and we all laughed and teared and lauded the "indestructible egg".

The conclusion of our tutorial? As we prepared to leave the classroom, our tutor went "Nah! Take biscuit eat!" Then when we queried why he was being so generous, he said "Told you to buy my handphone number (in 4D) you all never listen! I won money so treat you all loh!" Wah. This kind of teacher where to find :p

And today - an example of my brother's stupidity. My mum calls it endearing...spontaneity but we all know better.

Me: Don't be such a wuss (for whatever reason I called him this is immaterial. Just assume he IS a wuss AND a wimp AND sissy.)
Mum: How do you spell that?
Me: W-U-S-S. It means he's not a MAN.
    Brother: I'm not a woooooss! You're a foooooss!

    Whatever.

Me: Okay, how do you spell that?

I know how my brother thinks.

    Brother: F-U-S-S la stoopid.
Mum: Um. Isn't that pronounced fuss?

    -brother goes into stunned silence-

My brother is so easy to trick. Then he likes to compound his errors by doing things like

"I meant that F-U-S-S with a LINE over the S!" Whateverrrrr
"Really okay, they pronounce it that way in -mumble mumble-"
"Oy I made up the word cannot ah? Why you always must be right and I always wrong?" DENIAL AT ITS BEST, MY FRIENDS.

All in all, a couple of days to tickle my funny bone.

Sigh two more weeks to surgery. Am not looking forward. :(
